Mason, OH –Looking for the most strategic way to align its resources so the best industry-leading solutions can be provided to its global customers, OPW Fluid Transfer Group has combined its four business units and eight global operations into two distinct business units: OPWFTG Global Transportation and OPWFTG Global Chemical & Industrial.
A critical step in making this transition is the appointment of Dan Taylor to the position of Site Manager for the Global Transportation Business Unit's manufacturing operation in Kansas City, MO. In this position, Taylor will be responsible for the facility's finance, manufacturing and supply chain, and will report to Tom Zant, OPWFTG's recently named Vice President of the Global Transportation Business Unit. OPWFTG's market-leading brands include Civacon, Midland, Hiltap and OPW Engineered Systems.
Taylor will bring four years of OPWFTG experience to the position as he joined member company Civacon in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer. In that role, he was responsible for Civacon's financial functions, but also gained valuable experience in operational decision-making, information technology, human resources, procurement and manufacturing. Prior to joining Civacon, Taylor held positions with Bomag Paving Products, a division of SPX Corporation, and Mizer House & Associates. In all, Taylor has a combined total of 15 years manufacturing experience. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri and received his CPA license in 1999. He has also studied computer science and business administration at DeVry University.
