Mr. Pliska will assume his new responsibilities effective January 1, 2012, and will report directly to OPWFTG president, Tim Warning.
As part of OPWFTG's strategic growth initiative, in 2009 the company was organized into two global units: OPWFTG Global Transportation and OPWFTG Global Chemical & Industrial. Mr. Pliska will oversee the global Transportation Business Unit that markets Civacon, Knappco, Hiltap, OPW Engineered Systems and Midland brand products. OPWFTG products are designed specifically to provide for zero harm performance, helping to safeguard people and the environment in the handling of hazardous bulk products.

Mr. Wei earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Australia. He is a proven global business leader with 20 years of experience. Mr. Wei is multilingual and fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Most recently, as General Manager, he contributed to the General Electric Intelligent Platform. Prior to that, he contributed to the success of Emerson Electric for fourteen years as a Business Director and Operations Manager.
