Introducing: SPS-SGS

We are pleased to announce that Dover has acquired SPS Cryogenics and affiliated business Special Gas Systems (SGS). The SPS-SGS team will be joining the OPW Clean Energy Solutions business.

SPS-SGS, based in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands, has been serving the cryogenics industry for more than 25 years as a highly respected developer of pipeline systems and ancillary equipment.


Introducing: Marshall Excelsior

We are proud to announce that Dover has acquired Marshall Excelsior Company (“MEC”), including all of its individual brand entities (MEC, CPC-Cryolab, BASE Engineering, Inc., and Xanik), all of which will operate from this day forward as part of OPW.

The diversity of the MEC product platform, based on the alignment it has with our existing businesses, will help OPW expand its reach and customer base within the compressed and liquefied gas and fluid markets. The comprehensive MEC portfolio consists of industry-leading valves, regulators, controls and other flow-control products. This significant acquisition allows us to broaden our product portfolio and enhance our capabilities while allowing us to offer a more diverse and comprehensive range of solutions to meet our customers' evolving needs.

The MEC Companies
  • Marshall Excelsior Co. (“Marshall”) was established in 1976 and is headquartered in Marshall, MI, with a second location in La Perla, Mexico City, Mexico. Marshall is a leading flow-control platform offering highly engineered, mission-critical service solutions for LPG and NH3 gases.
  • CPC Cryolab (“CPC”) was established in 1961 and is located in Tampa, FL. CPC manufactures cryogenic valves and components for liquid hydrogen and helium applications.
  • BASE Engineering Inc. (“BASE”) was established in 1996 and is located in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. BASE provides wireless control technologies for fuel-delivery fleets.
  • Xanik was established in 1983 and is located in Mexico City, Mexico. Xanik produces specialty valves for industrial applications.

Introducing: Demaco

Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Noord-Scharwoude, The Netherlands, Demaco is a dedicated designer, developer, builder, tester and installer of customer-specific vacuum-insulated solutions for use in the cryogenics industry.
