CINCINNATI, OHIO – OPW Fueling Components, the company that is leading the way in fueling innovation around the world, is proud to announce that on Wednesday, May 19, it was the recipient of three awards at the annual Safety Banquet sponsored by the Greater Hamilton (OH) Safety Council. Most notably, OPW was presented with the 2009 President’s Award. This annual award is given to the company that has the best industrial safety record of all manufacturing facilities in Butler County that compile between 250,000 and 750,000 man-hours without a lost-time injury.

The Greater Hamilton Safety Council is a non-profit, non-governmental public-service organization that is dedicated to safety education and accident prevention through the administration of five safety divisions—Industrial, Fire, Transportation, School and Home. The Industrial Division, of which OPW is a member, focuses on safety programs and accident reduction in the workplace. The division conducts monthly meetings on topics such as OSHA standards, confined space, personal protective equipment, accident investigation and ergonomics. Several seminars are also conducted each year in association with the Bureau of Worker’s Compensation, Division of Safety and Hygiene.
