OPW Fueling Components EMEA Achieves ISO 14001:2004 Certification For Expanded Czech Republic Manufacturing Plant

Prague, Czech Republic – May 28, 2010 – OPW Fueling Components EMEA, formerly known as OPW Fueling Components Europe, is proud to announce it has achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification for its manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic, while also having its ISO 9001:2008 certificate renewed. ISO 14001:2004 is awarded to companies that meet ISO-established guidelines for energy-management systems at their plants.
To achieve ISO 14001:2001 certification, OPW had to present to ISO a framework for a holistic, strategic approach to environmental policy, plans and actions as they would apply to the Czech Republic facility. OPW also had to show a commitment to comply with applicable environmental legislation and regulations, along with making a commitment to continual improvement in its energy systems at the Klasterec plant.
“Achieving ISO certification allows us to be consistent internally through our operations and supply chain with OPW’s global purpose of marketing leading products and solutions that protect the air, ground and water quality each and every day,” said Libor Mikulka, Operations Manager for OPW Fueling Components EMEA.
By gaining ISO 14001:2004 certification, OPW is providing assurance that it is in control of its organizational processes and activities that can have an impact on the environment, while assuring its employees that they are working for an environmentally responsible company.
