CINCINNATI, OHIO – OPW Fueling Components, the company that is leading the way in fueling innovation around the world, continues to set the pace in producing fueling equipment that garners a vast number of global approvals.
OPW's CNG vehicle-fueling equipment, including various models of nozzles and breakaways, meet the standards established by the European Union's Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC. This PED was adopted by the European Parliament and the European Council in 1997 and since 2002, all new CNG fueling equipment that is used in the European Union must comply with Directive 97/23/EC. This directive states that to receive certification, CNG fueling equipment must be safe, meet essential safety requirements covering design, manufacture and testing, and be designed and manufactured according to sound engineering practice.
OPW’s CleanEnergy™ Fueling Products designed for use in CNG vehicle-fueling applications have certifications from TÜV SÜD and CSA International. Included are Type 1 (Class A) and Type 2 (Class B) nozzles, bus nozzles, breakaways, as well as several models of refueling receptacles, which are designed for use on CNG vehicles.
