Prague, Czech Republic – OPW Fueling Components EMEA (formerly OPW Fueling Components Europe) is proud to announce that its Total Vapour Solution™ (TVS) vapour-recovery system was honoured with an Innovation Award at the Energies Expo 2010, which was held from Sept. 22-24 in Paris, France. This biennial show is sponsored by the Federation Francaise des Combustibles, Carburants & Chauffage (FF3C), also known as the French Federation of Fuel, Fuels and Heating.

The Energies Expo Innovation Award was the second honour that the TVS had received in the space of a month. In August, the TVS was chosen as one of only 25 products to be included in the “Green Directory” that was produced for the Automechanika Show in Frankfurt, Germany. The Green Directory listed the top sustainable products and services that were on display at Automechanika, which is the world’s largest trade fair for the automobile industry.
The TVS is able to garner these accolades because of its unmatched ability to maintain proper vapour pressure in underground storage tanks and at specific pre-determined pressure settings, while simultaneously processing vapours back into liquid that is returned to the UST as saleable fuel. Real-world tests have shown that the use of the TVS system can result in an average annual recovery of saleable fuel of as much as 40,800 litres for a site that sells 16 million litres annually. The overall effect of the TVS is the prevention of vapour emissions into the atmosphere, resulting in increased protection of the environment and the well-being of the surrounding community.
