CINCINNATI, OHIO – OPW Fueling Components, A Dover Company (NYSE: DOV) and the global leader in commercial and retail fueling equipment, is proud to announce that its 66CLP Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery Reconnectable Balance Breakaway has received certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The OPW 66CLP is now the ONLY Reconnectable Balance Breakaway that is CARB-Certified. The OPW 66CLP is also approved for VST Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery Systems.
Specifically, two CARB Executive Orders grant certification to the 66CLP Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery Reconnectable Balance Breakaway. They are Executive Order VR-203-N: Balance Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) Systems Not Including In-Station Diagnostics (ISD) and Executive Order VR-204-N: Balance Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) Systems Including In-Station Diagnostic (ISD) Systems.
The proven design and unparalleled performance of the OPW 66CLP over the past decade has earned it the reputation as the industry standard in Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery Reconnectable Breakaways. Engineered to separate at 300 pounds of axial force, the 66CLP is quick and easy to reconnect. Its push-back reconnect style was designed by OPW for fuel-site operators specifically seeking reconnectable balance-system breakaway protection that prevents fuel vapors from escaping during a separation incident on balance systems. This design minimizes downtime and allows all hose points to be put back in service as quickly as possible following a separation event. The 66CLP, which is UL-listed for use with gasoline, diesel and 10% ethanol blends, features a body constructed of die-cast zinc, protective sleeves made of impact-modified nylon, Viton® main seals, stainless-steel springs, and acetal guides and poppets. It has a maximum working pressure of 50 psi (3.45 bar).
