CINCINNATI, OH – OPW Fueling Components, the global leader in commercial and retail fueling equipment, is pleased to announce that Sankha Bhattacharya has joined OPW as General Manager and Head of India Operations for OPW Fueling Components and OPW Fluid Transfer Group effective April 15, 2013. For OPW Fueling Components operations, Sankha will report to Richard Chen, Managing Director of OPW Asia Pacific, and have the responsibilities for all OPW operations in India, including the shared service management. India Design Centre will have a dotted line reporting into him.
Bhattacharya joins OPW from Markem Imaje, where he headed the India Operations as Managing Director. His previous experience includes stints at Tata Motors, NIS Sparta and Mettler Toledo. Bhattacharya has extensive experience in various functions right from Engineering to Marketing, Sales and handling the complete operations of a company.
Bhattacharya is an Engineering Graduate from Jadhavpur University, and has earned a Masters Degree from XLRI in Jamshedpur. With impeccable academics, Bhattacharya has been a rank holder throughout; he won the first prize in National Competition for Young Managers in India organized by the All India Management Association in 1998. He comes to OPW with more than 22 years of experiences in a large variety of industries like printing, weighing, automobile and the training industry.
