OPW, a Dover Company, announced today that the children of 4 of its employees have been selected as local winners of the Dover Sons & Daughters Scholarship Program. The Dover Sons & Daughters Scholarship recognizes outstanding high school seniors and current college students who are the children of Dover employees and who have demonstrated excellence through their academic record, test scores, leadership abilities and through their extracurricular activities and work record. Awardees may receive up to $10,000 in undergraduate scholarship support contingent upon maintaining academic and program eligibility. Now in its third year, this program has made 139 awards totaling nearly $700,000 in scholarship support.
Annelotte van der Bent, a 2013 graduate of Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem (the Netherlands), is attending Vrije University School of Medical Sciences (VUMC) in Amsterdam. Annelotte is the daughter of Albert and Joan van der Bent, Business Development Manager for OPW-EMEA.
Adam Mills, a 2014 graduate of Naperville North High School (Naperville, IL, USA), will be attending Imperial College London to study Biochemistry in the fall. Adam has one sister and is the son of Tony and Stephanie Mills. Tony is Director of Engineering and Product Development for OPW-Electronic Systems.
Kyle Vander Heiden, a 2014 graduate of Bay Port High School (Green Bay, WI, USA), will be attending the University of Wisconsin Madison to study Engineering in the fall. Kyle is the son of Scott Vander Heiden, Operations Manager for OPW-Electronic Systems.
Lauren Schwartz, a 2014 graduate of Blue Valley North High School (Overland Park, KS, USA), will be attending Indiana University-Bloomington to study Accounting and minor in Spanish in the fall. Lauren is the daughter of Bennett and Debbie Schwartz. Bennett is District Sales Manager for OPW-Retail Fueling.
