OPW Retail Fueling is proud to announce the launch and availability of the new High-Flow Loop System. The High-Flow Loop System is an extension of OPW’s FlexWorks Loop System, which set a new standard in pre-fabricated, “plug-and-play” fueling systems for retail fueling sites when it was released a decade ago.

Overfill, a condition in tank trailers that are loaded without, in some instances, having fully dispensed previous product, is a flammable, environmentally-damaging threat to safety. Fortunately, there are technological solutions to stop overfill, but slow adoption is keeping the fuel supply chain at risk.

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP), or fiberglass, sumps are a relatively new type of equipment in the retail fueling scene. These sumps are being specified more frequently, and for good reason. They offer functionality and fuel compatibility benefits over polyethylene (PE) pumps.

Performing manual diagnostics to find the source of the problem, which likely requires a trip to a repair shop, is time-consuming, and it can halt a fuel delivery operation. Having to search for the cause of this type of tank trailer issue is becoming a thing of the past, however, as new digital systems offer real-time diagnosis.

The true innovation in the loop fuel-delivery system – which is virtually failsafe – is the use of a combination of revolutionary new types of piping connections, dispenser-sump designs, minimized piping joints and streamlined in-field fabrication requirements. The slew of benefits provided by these systems ultimately creates a better installation and service experience for fuel retailers.
