Cincinnati, OH – OPW is proud to announce that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has approved the OPW 21Gv™ ORVR Nozzle for use at existing Stage II Vapor Recovery installations. The State of New York recognizes that the use of the OPW 21Gv increases system efficiency when used in place of non-ORVR compatible nozzles, thus giving further incentive for its use with vacuum-assist Stage II systems.
Specifically, the 21Gv has been approved for use with the following Stage II Vapor Recovery systems:
• Dresser/Wayne® WayneVAC – G-70-153 (latest), G-70-199 (previous)
• Gilbarco® VaporVac® - G-70-150 (latest), G-70-199 (previous)
• Tokheim MaxVac – G-70-154 (latest), G-70-199 (previous)
“OPW is extremely pleased that the State of New York, after a thorough review, has approved the 21Gv for use at its existing Stage II sites. The 21Gv makes becoming ORVR-compliant significantly more affordable and easy for all marketers,” said Brandon Grote, OPW-FC Product Manager, Dispensing Systems. “The 21Gv is also approved for use in the great states of Georgia, Maine, Texas and Wisconsin, with many other states pending.
OPW introduced its 21Gv ORVR nozzles to the market in 2009. Promoted as a 21st-century innovation for a cleaner, greener world, the 21Gv incorporates a patent-pending on-board refueling canister-sensing device and standard M34 inverted coaxial inlet threads so it can be used with the majority of certified vapor-recovery systems and hanging hardware. When the nozzle senses an ORVR canister on a vehicle being fueled, the nozzle automatically shuts off the vapor flow to significantly reduce air ingestion into the underground storage tank. This prevents excess tank pressurization and excess emissions from being vented into the atmosphere.
