HAMILTON, OHIO – Aug 12, 2024 – OPW is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of SPS Cryogenics B.V. and its affiliated business, Special Gas Systems (SGS) B.V. (together, “SPS-SGS”). The SPS-SGS team will be joining the OPW Clean Energy Solutions business. Headquartered in Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands, SPS-SGS is a leading developer of pipeline systems and ancillary equipment for use in cryogenic applications.

Since its founding more than 25 years ago, SPS Cryogenics has developed complete vacuum-insulated pipeline systems that feature super-insulated tees, elbows, phase separators, sub coolers, valves and flexible hoses, making them a first-choice solutions provider for the handling of a wide array of industrial gases, including LNG, CO2, liquid argon (LAR), liquid nitrogen (LIN) and liquid oxygen (LOX). In 2012, Special Gas Systems (SGS) was established as a sister company to SPS Cryogenics and since then has built a reputation as a leading producer of cryogenic pipe systems, with an emphasis on gas panels and systems.
