CINCINNATI, OHIO – OPW Fueling Components, the company that is leading the way in retail and commercial fueling equipment innovation, is proud to announce that its Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) system is the first and only Phase I system in the industry to be certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The new CARB AST Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) regulation establishes limitations for hazardous air pollutants emitted from ASTs used at Gasoline Dispensing Facilities. The new standards and specifications cover standing loss control, Phase I deliveries into ASTs and Phase II deliveries into motor vehicles. The Phase I EVR requirements went into effect in July 2010.
“OPW is proud to be the first and only company to receive CARB certification on the new AST Phase I EVR regulation,” said Aldo Sucaldito, Product Manager for Above Ground Products.
“This is another example of OPW’s commitment to provide products that enable the safest, most reliable and environmentally-responsible fueling operations in the industry.”
Specifically, the following OPW AST products have allowed OPW to successfully meet the CARB AST Phase I EVR regulation:
- 301 series Emergency Vent Valve
- 61 FSTOP series Overfill Prevention Valve
- 1611 and 1612 series Kamvalok Adaptors
- 634B & 634BK Caps
